There’s something in the water. I have done so many gender reveal and baby shower cakes lately!
This little baby bum is too cute AND this cake gave me the opportunity to use a new letter/number mold I got. I love how pretty these letters turned out!
I love all the detail that went into this cake! The couple does not know the gender…hence the absence of pink or blue… I love it!
Or is it cake?
Ehhh…I think it depends on the day. Either way, this Tiffany & Co. inspired bridal shower is just perfect!
Cake pops, mini cupcakes, full size cupcakes and Tiffany box-sized cakes. (Almond with strawberry filling…YUM!)
Look at this beautiful bride-to-be with her gorgeous dessert spread:
I love this fun twist on a gender reveal cake.
Plus, I love that I got to make another camo cake (check out the first one here) and I got to use plenty of glitter!
Want a little behind the scenes action?
This is how you form the camo pattern (looks appetizing right?):
But a quick roll-over and we’ve got a beautiful camo piece ready to cover the cake:
Oh…and by the way… it was glitter! So many baby girls are on the way! ❤
If you haven’t heard, gender reveal cakes are my favorite. Do you want to know what makes them even better? Doing one for one of my best friends.
It all started at the ultrasound appointment where I first met the little one:
The blondes in this picture knew what the gender was…but the momma-to-be and her mom had no idea!
They had two long days to wait before the gender reveal party!
Want to know what she’s having? Watch the adorable and amazing GoPro video here:
What will the new parents kiss?
Yeah…so I know… that poem doesn’t really work. I couldn’t find anything already written using Mister or Miss (there’s He or She? Excited to see! etc. etc.) …but no Mister or Miss poem. So I left it at that.
A darling Mister mustache and Miss lips.
This is one of my favorite cakes. Simple, just adorable…and I got to try out a new buttercream technique…petals. I just love it!
Want to know the gender? Watch this amazingly adorable, completely heartwarming video of the parents to be cutting the cake. These two humans are just wonderful people and the love in this video jumps out everywhere!! You’ll be covered in love.
Gender reveals have got to be my favorite thing to do! Not only do I get to know a huge secret before most of the world, I get to play a really fun part of a great day for expecting parents.
Here’s a buttercream beauty with hand-placed sprinkles…lots and lots of hand-placed sprinkles. Still finding pink and blue sprinkles in the kitchen.
There’s blue frosting in that cake…just like these cute matching cupcakes:
Behind the scenes:
It was a beautiful October day for this wedding, featuring a rustic cake with pretty green and purple flowers:
A happy cake for a wonderful Bachelorette! It’s handpainted to match the beautiful invites that went out for her wedding in Mexico! Viva la cake! Or…something like that…
I am more and more impressed with every wedding that I make a cake for…brides are amazing and create gorgeous fairytale scenes!
This August wedding at a private estate in Graeagle is one of my favorite weddings I’ve seen. Everything is just perfect! Nothing beats a bride with impeccable taste. And the weather? The pictures could not be any prettier (Thanks to Handlebar Studios: http://handlebarstudios.com/)
The prettiest flowers for this cake:
A dessert bar? Yes, please.
I can not get enough of the colors in this wedding.
Can’t get much cuter than babies and cake, right? Oh…and tutu’s.
