Chomp! Stomp! Growl! Roar!

I just made this dinosaur! (And by just I mean last year). And coincidentally, I just made this cute little boy’s second birthday cake today! Stay tuned for that one.

Sugar and spice and everything nice

That’s what little girls are made of.

And PS, I think the everything nice is butterflies and flowers…and cake!

Happy Birthday to Lululemon!

As I reflected on Lululemon’s first birthday in Reno, I thought about how much money I have in yoga pants. And how if it weren’t for work, I would only wear yoga pants. I even snuck some in last week by dressing them up enough to pass for normal pants…I think.

Oh, Lulu. Happy Birthday! I can’t wait for the full store to open in Reno, but for now, the showroom will do.

I was lucky enough to make the cupcakes for Lululemon’s opening a year ago.

I was very excited to be invited back for the first birthday!

We pillage, we plunder, we rifle, and loot

Drink up me hearties, yo ho.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me!

I can’t help but sing that song every time I think about this cake. So, in other words it’s about time that I stop thinking about this cake. Yo ho!

Arrrgggghhh, she’s modeled after the Black Pearl and she’s for the cutest little one yeaaaarrrr old boy I know.

When my friend for asked me for this cake, I said.. how about just a normal cake with a ship on top? To which she said.. no…a pirate ship cake. And she sent me directions on how to do it. Ha!

Shaped cakes are always so intimidating…until they’re not.

Here’s some behind the scenes. Please excuse any phallic references you may see throughout the process. Ha, it just kills me.
